What is a tester or unboxed product?

"TESTER"s are the type of bottle stores use for demonstration purposes. They come without a decorative box (in a plain, unsealed tester box), and may have a sticker saying "tester", "demonstration" or even "not for sale". They are the bottles the manufacturer boxed and distributed for sampling at retail counters.

Unboxed products do not come with decorative boxes, even though the regular products do. Unboxed products, like testers, typically do not come with decorative caps or other decorations found in regular boxed products.
